Education fund?

Question:my son is in 10th grade.we have 529 saving fund for him in the future.however, some friends told us it is bad ideal to save too much money for will ending pay college from your own much will be too much in education fund? Please helppppppp?/

Save as much money as you can for him. A college education is one of the best investments you can make for his future. FAFSA is based on income, first and for most, savings is looked at, but to a lesser degree.
The glitch in your friends advise is you don't know if you would be required to pay anyway! And even if he does qualify, the majority of financial aid being offered is in the form of student loans. Grant money depends a great deal on how much you and spouse earn.
You can, come on. I found interesting information about your answer, scholarships, college grants & partime works here. Good luck!
