Is it better to budge to college surrounded by another state?

Is it better to go to college out of the states? I'm living within Colorado, and was basically wondering, is it better to go to college contained by another state or just move about to college in the state your living contained by? I heard you capture more something... i think more money or something if you move about to college in another state than where on earth your living. So, which one is better? Going to college in another state or progress to college in the state your living contained by? Does it really matter anyways??

Answers:    It depends on what level program you want to pursue and whether or not you want to attend a State (public) school or a private academy. A public school contained by Colorado would be Colorado State University versus a private school would be University of Denver. Normally when you are a resident of a state and you attend a public university, you will qualify for resident (in-state) tuition. If you are not a resident of the state, you will be classified as a non-resident (out-of-state) for tuition purposes.

So beside that said, if you attend a public university in California for example, you will be classified as a non-resident. However if you attend a private university, they don't as a rule differentiate between residents and non-residents. All students are charged tuition at the same rate. A break within tuition is given to residents of the state at public universities. This have to do with State parliament funding for public universities. Private university do not normally receive funding from the State senate.

If you are looking to save money, you may want to consider staying surrounded by Colorado if you attend a public university. The tuition is normally more affordable at public university.

Best wishes to you on your college career!
