First of all... Congratulation on getting the offer from UTS :)
Well in regards to the condition in Sydney, it depends on where do you come from. I do believe that since you have visited Sydney before, you pretty much have a basic idea of what Sydney like and if you like it, then go for it.
I live in Melbourne and I can mention lots of good things abt Melbourne, but of course at the end of the day, you are the one living and studying in the city, so I better not influence you too much ;)
Abt cost of living Sydney (being the biggest) & Canberra is the most expensive, Melbourne & Brisbane are lower, then Perth, Adelaide, Darwin & Hobart the lowest. I am attaching the cost of living info from uni in Melbourne and UTS as comparison.
Abt work, as an international student, you can apply for work permit after you have arrived in Australia. You can only work max 20hrs/week during study period, and full-time only during holiday period. So as you can see, you cannot rely too much on income from Australia to support yourself. Therefore please budget yourself carefully.
Hope this helps. E-mail me at mikegun(at)studentfirst.com.au if you have more questions abt study in Australia. Good luck on your study and welcome to Sydney :)
Australia is amazing! I am sure you will have loads of fun! AND I MEAN THAT!! AMAZING!
