A wide variety of subjects or a strong specialization?

Question:some educator believ e that to graduate from a university, a student should study courses from a widw variety of subjects. other educators believe that it is better for a uni graduate to have a strong specialization. what;s the advantages of each position. which position you think is better and justify your response

For all round development and long term goals of being a solid citizen contributing to society, a multidisciplinary education is best. However, the downside is that it will not fetch much money, nor what is generally seen as 'success'. If personal advancement (with personal good performance) is the aim, a commercially usable specialization is better.

This is not to say that the latter do not contribute to society. Only that the former do it better.
