You can go to Half.com to get them for cheaper, this is where I used to get my books from when I was in school.
Books 'teach'; you 'learn'!
go to a library you can ask someone that works there and they can gave you good books on architecture
Ernst Neufert, this book is a must for all people taking architecture..it will give you the basic measurments and drawings as examples with explanations
