and this to me doesnt seem like a regular highschool circulum

Answers:
go to your state education agency's website and search for diploma programs.
Find out what is involved in a college prep diploma for your district.
For example, in my state, here's a college prep diploma program:
English 4 credits
Math 3 credits
Science, 3 credits
Social Studies, 3.5 credits
Economics, .5 credit
PE 1.5 credits
Health .5 credit
Foreign language 2 credits
Fine Arts 1 credit
Speech .5 credit
Technology Applications 1 credit
Electives 3.5

If a program does not offer something similar to that, then find one that does.
I know you will get answers on here that say all that matters is your SAT scores, but honestly, if you are not prepared for those exams with a quality education, you are not going to do well.

Edit: wow! I just checked out their program. Most of that stuff my child did in 8th grade, with the exception of Bio.
And as easy as that is, people still come on here and beg for answers?
yikes!
I am a homeschooling mom who has already graduated one child. The important question is "what does the college you want to go to require?" The answer to that question varies from college to college. You can get more answers about homeschooling to college at the yahoogroup: homeschooling2college.

I do not know anything about this program but there are other good online programs for highschool such as http://www.keystonehighschool.com/...
The Penn Foster high school diploma program is definitely not a college prep program. If you cannot find a better program that is just as affordable, perhaps you could supplement the program with courses that you take at a local two-year college. Some junior colleges waive fees for high school students.
Not it's not.

The Electives are better

Chemistry
Psychology
Economics
Trig and Anylitical Geometry
American Literature

IF you intend to go to an Ivy Leage or serious PRIVATE school THEY still have a LANGUAGE requirement so you should consider Spanish at least.

If you are going to a STATE college or University MOST no longer have a Foreign Langauge requirment.

You also have to take the regular courses

Here's a BASIC outline of what COLLEGE expects

Algebra 1 and 2
Geometery 1 and 2 (I think the Penn Forster MATH 1 and 2 covers both of these)

Trig

PRe-Calc or Calculus (This is often an option unless you are going into MATH or SCIENCE majors)

Econimics

Biology 1 and 2

MATH oriented Chemistry

MATH oriented Phsyics

English Literature (2 years)

English Grammar and Composition (2 years)

History and Poltics

Contemporary American Politics or some ADVANCED Poltics course (Civics may fit this requirement).

Take the ARTS and FINE ARTS ONLY IF the COLLEGE WILL TAKE PENN FOSTER AS CREDIT

If not, don't worry about ARTS take that in college

Music Appreciation

Introduction to Theater
History ofAdio, TV and Cinema

YOu need 1 year FINE ARTS acceptable to COLLEGE or take it in COLLEGE

College STRESSES a solid background in MATH and SCIENCE, even if you're not a sciene major.

If you go into Fine Arts in college then you can take Visual Astronomy in the Night Division

or more Biology

Or INORGANIC CHEMISTRY

Psychology 101

College REQUIRES you to do the following IN COLLEGE

1 Year math
1 YEar science
2 Years Engish
2 YEars Polticis/History
1 Year Arts

Then what is required for your major.

That may require MORE MATH, MORE SCIENCE, MORE ENGLISH, MORE POLY SCI
I don't know what state you are in, or if you are someone who is older trying to get a diploma. But I use alpha and omega homeschooling and it has proven to be a great experience with many options including a college prep track. Try morningstaracademy.org. Good luck
