Has any one been in california virtual academy? if so are there any problems? Is it a NEW computer?flat panel?

Question:

Answers:
No I haven't but it sounds interesting. I believe it is a program, not a computer but you could use any computer to use the program, new or old.

Good Luck ;)
I personally haven't used CAVA, but a friend of mine did for about 2 years.

They are Core Knowledge based and have a strong academic curriculm. The kids learn a lot and there seems to be good support for parents. I have no idea about the screen.

The reason she stopped using them was they require a lot of "busy work" if your child does not know enough to skip the module. You can test out of a module before it begins, but after that her daughter had to do the whole thing even if she understood it after one day. That's a lot of why she took her out of public school; so her daughter could learn at her own pace.

The other complaint is the amount of pages she had to print. She said it was over 2000 pages a year. When you're buying the paper and ink, that gets costly.

I'm also in an online support group and there are several parents who love it. You could check out they're opinions.
