Answers:
I would just search for different homeschooling links.
There is a lot of free stuff on the net, i often look on home schooling sites for activities to use in my public school class.
here's some to try:
http://www.home-school.com/
http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/...
http://www.homeschoolingonashoestring.co...
Try these websites.
The pubic library is a great place. You can often find workbooks, textbooks, etc. If you borrow a workbook, you can even still have the "write in" convenience by using a sheet protector slipped over the page and writing with a wet erase marker. (You will need to cut off one edge of the sheet protector so you can slip it over the page, and make sure you use a wet erase, not a dry erase marker, also make sure to record the score before you wipe off your answers).
There are also two sites I need to look up, so I will edit this answer in a minute.
Okay, here they are:

Some of the stuff is high school level, but they also have some basic courses that might help. You have to keep your own records on these sites, but they are decent on-line courses.
I'm not sure what part of NV you live in, but I live in Las Vegas. Here I have my daughter enrolled in Odyssey Charter school. ( home school ) But it is part of the Clark county school district. No cost, they have the materials, Phys ed classes, tutoring for any subject. If you are in the area, check it out, anyone in Las Vegas can go.

Can you borrow books from other homeschool families? Maybe someone would let you use their textbooks for a year before they sell them.
You can also find used HS books on line, at HS fairs and some bookstores.
