Compare, contrast samples with (suggested) answers for Grades 3 or 4?

Question:Does anyone know where I can find samples of compare/contrast with answers? Like "Compare and contrast the characters of Snow White, Cinderella". The answer would have 4-5 similarities, and 3-4 contrasts like families, place of living, problem, who helps them solve, ending(marriage)..
This is fairly easy as the stories are well-known. Looking for samples where less know stories compared/contrasted.

I have found some compare/contrast activities at edhelper.com & in Spectrum workbooks, but these are very basic. My kid's textbook "Houghton Mifflin Reading California" has stories that are about 20 pages each, and the exercises at the end have compare/contrast charac/events from the 2 stories, and the similarties/diffs are not obvious.

I badly need some samples of comparing/contrasting characters/events from such fairly long stories. The answer is a paragraph(s) with about 15-20 sentences(to give an idea of complexity)

Any websites (I can subscribe to)? Any books I can buy

This book is highly recommended for middle school:

and might not be too far from what you're looking for. Do you have library/college library nearby that might be able to do an inter-library loan?

I am guessing the lack of information probably comes from there just not being a huge difference in this type essay until the student is able to compare and contrast things a little more complex, which in traditional schools would be considered high school lvl. You are correct, an engine search reveals mostly elementary or college examples with lots of how to info (venn diagrams, etc.) in between. Your best bet will probably be to borrow or purchase a few things for a little higher grade lvl and combine the ideas with what you have already used, simplified for your student. More work for you, yes, but you're probably the best person to judge what your student needs, and obviously theres a gap in the market insofar as what you need for your student right now.

Are there any other homeschoolers in your network doing this type work? They might be able to suggest some coursework or share some of their own essays to help you. Also, if there is a college or university nearby maybe an adjunct or grad student in an english/education program might be ab;e to help.

Wish I could be of more help - best of luck on your search!
Try some of these. I don't remember which one I saw it in before.
I would recommend Enchanted Learning.
You can check their web site out for free but to have full access it requires a yearly $20.00 fee.
They are well worth the fee though.
