What about it? I have no experience with it, but I know some people really get a lot out of it. I am a teacher, and there are a few families at my school who have opted for home school for certain children. One family had an absolute disaster, and the kids learned nothing and had to repeat several years when they came back to school. Another family had a 6th grader who had a lot of issues when she went to middle school. They pulled her out of school in the middle of the year.
If the parents know what they're doing, I suppose it can be beneficial. Most of these kids still do social activities, so I don't feel that they're missing out in that regard.

Yes, I began homeschooling a first grader in November 2006 and have nothing but positives to say about homeschooling. He is an only child, and I make sure he gets to be around other children via sports classses, community acitivities, etc.
