Good grief. Pull her out of that school if she wants to homeschool. Everybody would like you to believe that high school is a wonderful rewarding experience that we all have to go through. For many, many kids high school is torture that has a life long negative impact. She sounds like a bright kid with initiative. She only has a few more years under your care. Let them be happy, productive years that can help her build a future. I wish I could have taken my kids out of school when they were that age. I made them endure it and they are still suffering from the experience. They are my biggest fans as I homeschool the younger children. Talk to your daughter, choose a curriculum that suits her needs. You won't regret it, but you may be very sorry later on if you keep her in an unhealthy environment. And you don't have to teach her,she is a big girl, the materials do that, You just need to provide the encourgement, love and support.

Personally, if she has social problems already, I don't think homeschooling her will help. If you did end up homeschooling her, her social problems will only continue or worsen all through college, and even after. Try to increase her confidence in herself, because kids will like her more if she just acts like herself, instead of trying to fit in all the time. It sounds like your daughter is more mature than most of her public school peers which means she would probably enjoy being homeschooled immensely.
Although I have not personally used them, I've heard very good things a FLVS. As far as socialization, it's quite obvious she doesn't like the socialization the school provides (gee, go figure). She will probably like the socialization homeschooling provides quite a bit. The teens I've met all are looking to the future and what they want to do with their lives, not partying and bullying little kids to make themselves feel better.
I'm assuming you are in Florida, there are a number of "umbrella" schools in Florida that will give you daughter plenty of opportunity to socialize, and there are athletics, and field trips and a number of other things.
Yahoo! Groups has a number of Florida homeschool loops. Do a search and ask the various groups about their field trips, and other things they may have to offer you. Many have co-ops that offer classes in certain subjects (foreign languages, calculus, etc.). I think if you do some investigating, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
FVS is a great choice since you have the curriculum already and it's online, making life easier for everybody. As far as socialization goes, find a local support group and join. I take it you live in FL (as do I). Make sure you go to www.FPEA.com and check out the state laws regarding homeschooling. You can also find groups there. GoodLuck:)
