Answers:
OK, I have read The Alchemist and to me the most powerful idea was that every person should have the courage to take their own path in life, since that’s a person’s only real obligation. Remember that The Alchemist is about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life’s path and above all following our dreams.
If you need quotes, use these: “When you want something with all your heart, the entire universe conspires in helping you achieve it” or, “At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That's the world's greatest lie” or, “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure”
These are just some extra ideas, but your idea is good too, as I understand your assignment, you should take the idea that was most powerful to you, so just write about witch idea in the book you thought to be the most important.
try the theme of personal legends.
What you think it is, why you think it helped santiago and if everyones personal legend is chosen for them or if you choose it as you go.
Next tim do your own homework and dont procrastinate so much :)
