First, start with a hook. For example, "Could a farmer successfully farm in the 1930's?
Then, start your thesis statement, which is your position. So, it should be, "No, a farmer could not successfully farm in the 1930's.
Then state your three reason why he or she could not. Then end with a concluding sentence.
The three body paragraphs will explain each reason in more detail.
Finally, your conclusion is very similar to your intro.
This is the setup I teach my students for persuasive writing.
