I can type but I can't write with a pencil. How do I learn how?

Question:Will I forget how to type on a keyboard after I acquire this new skill? Are there any support groups for this? Who else has this problem?

Answers:
I did. I just printed out what i wanted to write and traced over it. Man It was liberating!

Or you could get those books they make for kids to learn to write. Tell everyone it's a present for a kid:) Good luck to you. Many people have this problem because the school system sucks.

You won't forget how to type by learning how to write. There are adult education classes that teach people how to write. Or you could ask a close friend to help you. Good luck, and don't give up!

Any skill requires some practice to maintain, but people don't usually totally forget an acquired skill, so no, you won't forget how to type on a keyboard.

When you say you can't write with a pencil, what exactly do you mean? Many people have difficulty with pencil and paper tasks, but the solution depends very much upon the cause of the problem.

Yes, there are support groups for this type of problem. Begin to research "learning disabilities" and you may find information that is helpful to you. Here are a few sites to get you started.
