Any advice?

Question:I am writing this on behalf of a friend - he is 22, living in Dorset area. He dropped out of school when he was young due to family problems and did not get above a D in any of his GCSE's. He really is extremly good at ICT and so was looking at retaking an ICT course in order for him to have qualifications for a better job. It would be easier for him to do the work from home as he still needs to work to afford his living costs. Can anyone recommend any courses or really anything at all that would help his situation. Is there even an apprenticship he can do or another alternative? xxx

Answers:
Night Classes or Open University should suit him. Maybe an access course at college in the eveninigs whicvh would then open up other options for him.

I did it full time, but I did a GSVQ, HNC, HND, Degree in that order. I had no qualifications either.
Can I suggest you contact any of the local colleges in your area after the holiday period or,look them up on the internet.
I am told that a company called "Learn Direct" do home courses.
I would also suggest that you google "home study courses" within the UK.
Good luck.
