Do you have lease? You will need permission from the landlord. This may be tough. Assuming you got that, they would no doubt demand to be named on the policy and otherwise indemnified.

You will also need a permit from the town, and a license from the state (otherwise will be unlicensed, which could be fine). Go to an insurance agent (or call a few of them) and ask them.

For sure you need to work out the situation with your landlord, and no insurance agent will likely bother talking to you unless you have that part figured out.
