1 over xy add 1 over yz?

Question:how do u do it? i can't find the answers for this one.

Answers:
First find a common denominator. The common denominator must include all variables in both denominators and must be to highest power of each variable. Since all variables are to the first power, the common denominator will be xyz.

To get the numerator for the first part, a z was multiplied by xy to get the new denominator, so 1 must be multiplied by z.

To get the numerator for the 2nd part, an x was multiplied by yz to get the new denominator, so 1 must be multiplied by x.

So you get z over xyz add x over xyz which adds together to give you (z+ x) over xyz
