I am worried about school!?

Question:I am going to year 10 and i am really worried about school because all of my lessons have changed and i dont want to go! Can i have some help on what to do?

Answers:
Hey there fella, take it easy! When I went up to Year 10, with the promise of GCSEs and a heavier schedule, I was about ready to cry. The thing that you realise about two weeks into the courses though, is that they are just the same as the courses you did before, but more intelligent.

Your brain starts to fill up with all this cool information that you never hear again. So kick back and enjoy. I know it is useless to try saying, "Don't worry about it!" so, perhaps try to talking to your mates, or even to the teachers.

Just take it at your pace, if something freaks you out, tell someone, and most of all don't keep it bottled up. If you have any more problems you can always ask me a question on here!

start doing drugs, skip school, party all the time, and oh yeah start having sexual relations, lots of them.

Everything has to change eventually, and you should welcome change and meet it head on. Woorying too much only makes things harder than they need to be.

dont be worried just go to school with ur head held high and but ur best foot forward and god will do the rest

cool i am going to yr 10 too!
dont worry and take time as it goes if that makes sense!!!
i wont b with ma friends aswell but that doesnt mean i cant make new ones!!
i'll be ur friend if u want!
what lessons did u choose? Is there a tutor / teacher you can have a chat to about how you feel? Are there specific lessons that you are scared about, or is the whole lot? have you got a friend you can talk to about it? What about your parents - can they offer any reassurance?

I can guarantee that you aren't the only one that is worried! Just plan something nice to do when you get home from school (even if its posting a question on here, and then reading the answers when you get home!) and focus on knowing that there is a nice part of the day coming up! In life everything changes some you will like and some changes you will not but you can not worry about it. What if you actually like some of thoose new lessons and then you worried over nothing. Knowledge is power the more you learn the better it is for you. If you find yourself strugling on some of theese lesson get a tutor or find a study buddy and go over theese lesons together.

Don't worry, it's not that bad. I used to get all workd up too before, but you'll do fine. If you try your best and want to do good, you'll come up on top!!!!

Go with the flow.

What's the worst that could happen? You've been going
to school for what, 11 years now. You know the drill. The lessons may have changed but studying and exams haven't.

I know change is crap sometimes (I personally hate change a lot of the time) but it's a certainty in life, gotta get used to it.

GOOD LUCK!!! sometimes you have to face your situation and try your best to
deal with it.remeber the only person who could change your situation is you.as long as you keep trying ,there must be a solution out there.when i was at junior school ,i had a lot of problems in study, i managed solutions by rethinking.you know
at the time if i could not find a way out, i'd nerver be able to leave
that backword city, but i struggled and made it..by a chinese Education in school is dynamic from one level to the other. It there4 means we have to adapt the changes. I also exprienced the same problem in FORM 3;but i recovered after my friends advised not to break out of school.i am college student for 2yrs.THANKS.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to a place where you are shamed, controlled, itimidated and not free to learn without being punished by rewards. Ask to be homeschooled.
