1-877-568-8486 Is this number toll free and how do you know if it is or isn't?

Question:It is advertised as a number to call that will take a message and convert it to an email reminder for you. Are they just trying to get your email address?

Answers:
All numbers with the area code 800, 888, 877, and 866 are toll-free within the United States and some parts of Canada. The area codes 855, 844, 833, and 822 are also reserved for toll-free numbers in the future. Similar area codes such as 809, 807, 900, etc are NOT toll-free.

The service may or may not be out to get your e-mail address. It is definitely a possibility. You may want to create a free e-mail alias using such services as Yahoo! AddressGuard to protect yourself from spam.

800, 866, 877, 899 etc.
And, yes... .its just a means of getting your email addres so they can sell it to other entities... and you get more junk mail, spam and phishes.

Howerver, bear in mind, that 900 numbers are NOT toll free, and often cost you in more ways than money.
why dont ya try calling it...you have to stay on the line for like 5 minutes before you can find out though
make another email put all fake info and then try to decide but don't try to do it with your real e-mail
It is toll free. Any 800 877 or 866 #'s are toll free. Probably yes about the email. Make a new account on AOL.com or hotmail. and use it for stuff like this so you can be sure that it won't mess up your normal email.
