Our schedule is divided up into blocks.... our first subjects are like Math... English... Science. Our last block, our 4th block, is a different type of subject. Some are in Keyboarding, Band, Chorus, Smart, Health, etc. We only get to choose if we want to be in Band or Chorus. Band and Chorus is for the whole year and everything else is for a semester.
I am in Band for one of my 4 th blocks and I was put in art for my other 4th block. Well, our band teacher has made it so we come to band everyday, well those whose teachers will allow us to come.
Not all of the teachers will of the 20 of us band students. My art says it is ok if I go to band during her 4th block but we ( those of us in art) still have to get notes from another student and take Quizes.
We never got a choice in the matter and now we have double work and more of our time is taken out of classes to go to band. We do lessens which is 20 min out of a day in the week also.

Yes it may bring some attention to the issue...but you may need to get your parents involved if you want results....another problem....you will probably still need to make up the time after school or some other time....is it worth it to you.....if so good luck.... I am sorry to say this but when I was in school and all the petition stuff went around the thing that did it the most was parents... Parents have the power so if you are really truly wanting to do this get parents involved and have them sign the petition and take it up with the teacher, principal, or even the school board i wish you the best of luck Source(s):
