I am trying to track downa very old song that my Mother used to sing that she learnt at shool in about 1912?

Question:I don't know the title and can remember only a few lines from it which go;

"Soon ah too soon,
Are gone our gay dances,
Spring changes quickly to winter drear.
Soon ah too soon, in silence and in sorrow---"

That is all I know--if anyone can help I'll be so grateful as it is a lovely memory of my dear Mother
