and so on. can any1 help me understand??

Answers:
Grade (Elementary) School
1st Grade = 6-7 year olds.
2nd Grade = 7-8 year olds.
3rd Grade = 8-9 year olds.
4th Grade = 9-10 year olds.
5th Grade = 10-11 year olds.

Middle (Jr. High) School
6th Grade = 11-12 year olds.
7th Grade = 12-13 year olds.
8th Grade = 13-14 year olds.

High School
9th Grade (Freshman) = 14-15 year olds.
10th Grade (Sophomore) = 15-16 year olds.
11th Grade (Junior) = 16-17 year olds.
12th Grade (Senior) = 17-18 year olds.
Everything the guy above me said, except one more thing. Kids aged 4-5 also attend kindergarten. So, 1st grade is actually the students second year of schooling.
