what could i do now?
Answers:
You will have to sit them again, wont you..& this time listen to your teacher
Stop worrying until you actually have the results - you will probably have done better than you think.
Even if you have failed every one of them you could retake them at college.
Start packing. No seriously, wait for the results and then plan on doing something about it. Speak to your teacher or careers officer, oh and prepare your parents.
Just wait for a few weeks and you will be in the same mental state as everybody else that sat them!
Whatever the results you only did your best and thats all you can do. The best thing you can do now is not worry, i know its hard, I didnt pass all mine but GCSE`s arent everything in life, I`ve had a good job and if the worst does happen and you fail you can get into college for the ones you pass but show you are serous by telling them you want to re-take the ones you failed at college! Itll be fine!
Your probably haven't done as bad as you think so your best to wait and see before you start panicking. If it is that bad, maybe you could re-sit? Or you might have to start on a lower level course than you first thought but you'll be fine. Theres always something you can work out. Maybe your careers advisor could help whatever the outcome?
Dont Worry - Not untill you get them.
Im on the same Round Mate, im worrying too !
Even if we do fall, then its not the end of the world.
But i must say, if you haven't applied for college by now, then your going down the wrong street...
You could re-sit them. Or start from the bottom in a trade and work up.
But the main thing is not to worry and to FOCUS on the future, and not think about the Past!
If you have only failed them by a little you may be able to appeal against the decision. When you get them phone the school and ask to lodge an appeal.
It is a worrying time and it is easy to say don't worry when of course you are but as someone has already said it is not the end of the world. The way education is now you will have lots of opportunity to get the grades ...resit/nightschool/... tuition etc and eventually you will get what you want.
i know what you mean. i have already gotten 6 GCSE's from my exams in january. and i wasnt thinking much about these results until everyone started mantioning it on here, now i am also panicking! i know i have failed at least 3 of them becuase it invlved maths, and i just talked rubbish on that "describe your house" question for english. i feel like i have so much pressure on me from my parents. i too can't sleep, i feel excited and yet at the same time i don't want them back. all i can suggest is attempt to forget about it until the day, and if you do fail the exams you need to take your coarse at college, then maybe you can have a word with the college and see if there is an alternative class so you can study and extra year and get the basics first.
good luck, i heard that feeling nervous and thinking you have done bad is usually a good sign that you have done well!
You'll still be able to to to college whatever your grades - it's just the level of the course that you do that will be affected.
Talk to your careers/Connexions adviser before making any decisions though.
Tough! Some will fail others will pass. Thats life and it becomes increasingly a race of talent as you get older.
Failure is either bad luck, lack of work or lack of ability.
Now clarify your position .. change you attitude and try for a resit at college, or realise you do not have the ability and go for a job/training scheme.
Do what is best for you. Its your choice and not the choice of any careers officer. Listen to their advice but decide for yourself . its your future and not their future !
Do remember that at the end of your education you will need to get a job. Choice of subject will affect the jobs available when you complete your education. I recommend looking at job choices and then choosing your college subjects accordingly.
Don't worry. Most people feel like this, even if they don't admit to it.
There is always another option, even if you don't get the grades you need. There are loads of courses out there and there'll be something for you.
Not long to wait now. Chill out and don't worry.
I was really worried about my SATS, and did alot better then I thought I would.
GCSE's I didn't do but GCSE's aren't everything, I'm now doing a diploma yet I didn't do a single one!
I know it's hard to say but try not to worry, you've probably done really well, and at the end of the day, you tried your best and that's all anyone can ask of you.
If the worst does happen and you fail any you can always re-take them at college.
Good luck with your results!
