Am I taking too many AP classes for junior year?

Question:This year I am taking:
AP Language
BC Calculus
AP Biology
AP World History
AP Psychology
AP Spanish Language

That is a lot of AP classes, but you might be able to handle it. That's the equivalent (unitwise) of a tough schedule of a college freshman. Can you handle it? I don't know. A lot of it depends on who's teaching the classes and how in depth they are. If you are expected to write multiple 10 page papers several of the humanities classes each term, that may be challenging. Biology has time intensive labs. BC Calc is known to be one of the toughest of the APs. I worked hard with 4 AP classes and 1 post-AP (multivariable calc) and a "junk" class. It was doable, just really, really work intensive. I also scored almost all 5s on all my AP classes.

Are you doing outside activities? Sports, volunteering? What else will take up your time? Why are you taking so many APs? Could you drop a class or subsititute a fun, less work intensive class? No university is going to require that many APs to get in. In fact, showing leadership outside the classroom may be more beneficial on your applications. And doing better on 4 APs (4s and 5s) will certainly look better than a lower mix (especially several 2s) on 6 APs.

I'm not saying you can't do it, I'm saying you should really think about why you'd WANT to do it.

Best of luck,
No such thing as too many, as long as you can handle it. Have you taken APs before?
Be prepared to lose a lot of sleep throughout the school year and you're not going to have much of a social life.
WAYYYYYY to many. Pick three and stick with them
It depends on how you handel it. Dont forget that you have to take an end of the year exams, the SAT maybe the ACT and the PSAT and also maybe a couple of SAT subject tests. If u can handel it go ahead. Are you planning to apply to a college early decision?
