College, and GCSE results?

Question:Once you give college your GCSE results from your exams, will they check up on those grades or do they just depend on proof of your certificates ?

Answers:
They do check them. When I go I have to bring my Examination Results with me to Enrol. I dont know what will happen because I need 5 C's to get into college and I only got 1. So dont be embarressed like I will be.
I think they do check - they will in my case because I did terrible on the entrance exam. We don't get our certificates until November (not sure exactly when during the month either).
