Retaking the GMAT?

Question:Ok, so I took the GMAT, I've read all the online articles about the GMAT, and, of course, I would like to solicit some opinions on the matter.

Basically, I didn't prepare, and went out the night before a 9 am test. I got a score that was, essentially, exactly average for the schools I have been examining. My GPA isn't that hot - not bad, not great.

If I get can two more points on each of the scaled scores, it will net a pretty sizable jump in my total score, and just nudge me out of the median 80% range.

I know that the GMAT data is just one more factor among many, but... it could be an easy pick up.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Answers:
If you didn't prepare previously then 50 hours of prep and an early night before the test should set you up for a much improved GMAT. It sounds like your application would benefit from a higher GMAT score, and I think I would retake the test if I were in your position.

If you do decide to retake then PrepForTests.com's free online GMAT course would be a good place to start your study
