I'm a student at ISU but not in C.E. I'm a journalism major. Iowa really isn't all that bad. We have major shopping malls and all those great things you get in a big city there is just a lot of corn when you drive on the interstate.
I chose ISU because I felt like it was small enough that I wasn't just a number but big enough that I didn't know all my classmates. I wanted to be able to know my professors but not to the point where they know everything about me.
ISU is appox. 25,000 students so it is by no means small. I also love Iowans they are by the nicest people ever. ISU has a top 10 rated engineering program and the number 1 indoor career fair. Over 300 employeers coming searching for students just for engineering one day and the second day is for LAS/ Business majors.
I guess the only flaw about ISU is the weather. Sometimes it gets really cold or really hot but nothing bad to say about the school.
