Can anyone confirm this teaching method of Socrates to his students?

Question:Socrates teaches his students by forming a circle, and discussing a specific idea. Then after their discussion, they go out the open world to experiment their learnings, then after that, they go back into the classroom and share with the class their experiences.

I need some sources to cite for my book report on this. Links would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
