6-8-(4+6)+(3-8)?

Answers:
The answer is -17. A negative sign in front of a parenthesis changes the sign of the numbers inside to their opposite. You can also solve inside the parentheses first to avoid confusion.

You can rewrite this as:
6-8-4-6+3-8=17
or
6-8-10-5=17
6-8-20+(-24)
6-8-20-24=-46
6 - 8 - (10) +(- 5)

6 - 8 - 10 - 5

-2 - 10 - 5

-17
=6-8-(10)+(-5)
=-2-10-5
=8-5
=3

I just remember that you have to solve first the numbers in the parenthesis. So, therefore, 4+6 is 10 and 3-8 is -5... After which, add now all the numbers with their corresponding signs.

6-8 is -2 minus 10 plus -5 or
6-8 is -2 minus 10 minus 5

-2 - 10 is 8 minus 5
That's when I got the answer of 3. Hope I got it right.
