Honestly, yes. Unless you plan on retiring soon I think it would be best. The demands for teachers are becoming higher and higher, you don't want to be left behind.
Both of my parents were teachers, they both got masters during the summer and kept us in preschool. I think it not only benefited them, but us as well. I have many summer memories from preschool and I am sure I learned a thing or two as well.
These days you may even be able to get all or most of your credits through on-line classes.
